Sorry it's been a while. But looka this ham!
Here's Delbert Sanchez, circa 1969, immediately after he found out he was passed over for the role of Cookie Monster on the new children's television program "Sesame Street". He soon gave up on the entertainment industry, and currently sells industrial vacuum cleaners in Egypt.

I can't say he would make a better cookie monster but I can't say I'm glad he's not cookie monster.
I bet he just wanted free cookies.
